In March of 2022 I decided to retire from my work at the clinic after 40 years of nursing.

It’s been almost 2 years now and although I miss my clinic clients dearly I have been able to enjoy travelling and pursuing my love of landscape painting.

I’m very fortunate to still have the opportunity to work as the Foot Care Nurse at Mill Creek Care Centre in Barrie Ontario. The wonderful residents and their families and the great staff welcome me once a week to provide basic and advanced nursing foot care treatments. It’s an amazing feeling to leave a residents room with them thanking me for making them feel cared for.

As health care professionals we take our responsibility to protect you, the public and ourselves seriously.

All foot care clients are Covid-19 screened prior to coming to the clinic and temperature checks are completed on their arrival. Masks are worn by all clients. The foot care nurse is also responsible for self-screening and wears appropriate PPE.

Our clinic has lots of room to be able to social distance and plenty of time between appointments is ensured to allow for the cleaning of all equipment and surfaces.

A Registered Nurse (R.N.) for over 41 years and an added Gerontology Certificate from Ryerson University and a Advanced Palliative Care Certificate Jayne’s nursing career has been focused on her passion, caring for seniors. Her various roles in health care have included being a Director of Care, Nurse Manager, Unit Supervisor and Staff Educator in several senior’s residences.

Jayne obtained her Advanced Nursing Foot Care Certificate in 2002 and has run nursing foot care businesses in both Toronto and in Barrie, Ont.

Her compassion and dedication to her work and for helping others is evident in her interactions with her clients.

Please note, Jayne retired from working at the clinic in March of 2022.

She now is focused solely on her work as a Foot Care Nurse at Mill Creek Care Centre which is a long term care home.

Jayne is now finding time to pursue her landscape art and travel.
